why we relate happiness with money?
So, Today we are living in the 21st century in the Era of modern science.
In this Era sometimes we criticize our self that why we don't have a thing that others have even without knowing his level of hard-working behind this!
If we go outside ask a question from a random person that what is happiness for you what you want in life maybe his answer is "Money"
why shouldn't be "Happiness"?
"with money, you can buy a house but not a home, with money you can buy a clock but not time, with money you can buy a bed but not sleep, with money you can buy food but not appetite, with money you can buy a doctor but not good health, with money you can have insurance but not safety"
And that's the problem we all have been suffering, here are the lots of things that you cannot buy with money!
why we became so selfish today?
- Selfish behavior has been analyzed by philosophers and psychologists for centuries.
- New research shows people may be wired for altruistic behavior and get more benefits from it.
- Times of crisis tend to increase self-centered acts.
why do we want what others have?
There's a proverb that our psychology teacher once told us (all the students) to write down on our textbooks, that defines this dilemma the best——
“Insan apne dukh se dukhi nahi, auro ke sukh se dukhi hota h. ”
Translation —
“No human being is unhappy with their sorrows, it's the other's happiness that makes one unhappy. “
This proverb highlights the lack of appreciation in human nature. To have a happy life one doesn't necessarily need to be rich but rather needs to become resourceful. One should realize and appreciate whatever little one have than sobbing over what you don't have but others do. It's a classic take on human tragedy.
